Yesterday my sister and I took our kids and went to Sweet's for a free tour! My kids were SO excited to get to go to a real candy factory! Sweet's has been making candy for a LONG time!! It started in 1892 in Portland, OR and in 1900 it all moved to Salt Lake. They are still going strong, and you can go see what it's all about! You get to watch them make candy as you go through the tour. They give you a piece of candy or two as well. They also have a gift shop to visit at the end. Sweet's is open for tours Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. The tours last 40 min. Sweet Candy Company is located at 3780 West Directors Row (1100 South) in Salt Lake City.
