Red Butte Gardens

(Pear tree archway at Red Butte Gardens)

Red Butte Gardens will be having their Free Holiday Open House held the first weekend in December (4th & 5th). If you haven't ever been up the Red Butte Gardens, you should go. I'd never been and we made a trip on Labor Day and it was great! I think I might even be willing to pay to go there. My kids loved it too.

Tomorrow, September 25, is Public Lands Day. This means that it's free to go to more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees.
These are the Utah parks that participate.

Canyonlands National Park
Capitol Reef National Park
Cedar Breaks National Monument
Dinosaur National Monument
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
Golden Spike National Historic Site
Hovenweep National Monument

I wish I would have known about this before today, so I could let others know, and so I could plan to go to one. Unfortunatly, we won't be going to any of the parks tomorrow. There are other days through out the year, I will try to keep you posted about those as well.

Hill Air Force Base Museum - Free Activity

Did you know it's completely free to visit the Hill Air Force Base Areospace Museum? I didn't know it was free, until my sister told me. We went for a visit a few weeks back, and my boys LOVED it! We didn't realize how early they close, so we did have to hurry through it, but it was fun. If you are interested in going, and would like more information, click here.
